Speed, Agility, and Cost

Why Defense Needs Non-Traditional Suppliers
Meridian Laboratory presented at the NDIA Iowa-Illinois Chapter’s 17th Annual Government Contracting Symposium in Moline, Illinois. The event centered around the theme of “READINESS WITHOUT LIMITS,” which aligns perfectly with our operational philosophy.
We were invited to speak and present our brief, Speed, Agility, and Cost: A Case for Non-Traditional Suppliers, directly to members of the U.S. Army, leadership from the Rock Island Arsenal, and other manufacturers in the defense industry.
The core of our presentation looked at a basic rule we live by in the commercial-industrial space: if you don’t repeatedly deliver quality, speed, and cost-effectiveness, you get replaced. Every single part that leaves our facility is our chance to prove our merit. Our goal at the symposium was to show how the defense sector can tap into this discipline and agility to deploy critical technology faster, often with significant cost savings.
Meridian Laboratory has two core product divisions that we offer to help support the Mission:
- Rotary Solutions Division: Designing and building custom electrical slip rings, fiber optic rotary joints (FORJs), and fluid media unions for complex rotating systems.
- Polyurethane Molding Division: Precision molding of rugged, high-durability polyurethane components built to handle friction, surface protection, and harsh tactical environments.
